2022.10.4: Desert Water x One and Only Exhibition "enishi_en"

- "Create, Play, and Dress" from Shinjuku Isetan -
This autumn, Isetan Shinjuku will host a joint art event called "Water of the Desert," organized by artist Rei Inaba, and the "One and Only Exhibition," curated by kimono upcycle brand UZ Fabric. Artists and brands will come together under the theme of "enishi" (connections), and in addition to exhibiting and selling their works, they will also engage in a variety of collaborative activities and live events. We hope you will come along and visit.

A quick Japanese color diagnosis by a diagnostician from the Traditional Colorist Association (limited to 10 people)

This is the first collaboration with "Kimosato: Finding Adoptive Parents for Kimonos," an activity that led to the creation of UZ Fabric. A quick color diagnosis will be conducted by a Japanese color consultant. On the day, please use the advice on colors that suit you as a reference and try out UZ Fabric items to your heart's content. We look forward to your participation. *If there are a large number of applicants, a lottery may be held.

"What is created with love never disappears"

The performance will be a collaboration between three groups: the art unit "Umi to Nashi," which is active in a variety of media including paintings, murals, and video works; guitarist Takemoto Kari, who has collaborated with many artists in the art field; and Haruna Ikenaka, who is active in musicals, stage performances, and other fields that use her voice.

Rei Inaba x Itoshi Sakhrani x George Nagata "The bagel is an unsweetened doughnut with rigor mortis"

The two artists are Rei Inaba, a textile painter and organiser of the art event "Water in the Desert", and Ai Sakkarani, who is a mix of British, Indian and Okinawan descent and grew up in a borderless environment.
Traveling pianist George Nagata expresses his love for music through flexible and melodic performances
Please enjoy this collaboration between the three.
