How to wash the product

■ For dresses, coats, stoles, scarves, bags, and cushion covers
Please note that these products are made from used kimono fabric, primarily kimonos , and therefore cannot be fitted with care instructions . At Uzu Fabric, we wash all of our products with a dry cleaning service before putting them on the shelves. Even if you wish to wash these products yourself, we recommend dry cleaning at a professional dry cleaner.

When taking it to a dry cleaner, please inform them that this item is a remade kimono and ask them to dry clean it using a Sekiyu dry cleaner.

If you are unsure about your usual dry cleaner, we can also introduce you to specialized dry cleaners that wash Uzu Fabric products . Please feel free to contact the brand.

■ For rugs and room shoes
As a general rule, these products cannot be washed. To keep your rug clean , regularly dry it in the shade and beat it to remove dust , and we hope you will enjoy it for a long time. Kimono products are all made of fabrics that are very sensitive to water. If you wash them yourself, please do so with great care.


■ In the case of masks
・As this item is made of kimono fabric, please avoid using a washing machine or a washer/dryer. This may cause the product to shrink or fade . Please hand wash using a mild detergent suitable for delicate fabrics (with a label indicating wool/silk in the wash instructions).
-We take care to maintain a clean environment during the production process, but we recommend washing your hands before wearing as a precaution.

FAQ

■Does it smell like a kimono?
Yes. Some people may be concerned about the unique smell of kimonos or the strong smell of insect repellent , but all kimonos are dry cleaned so there is no lingering smell. However, there is still a smell that comes from the pure silk and the smell of the product after cleaning , so it is not odorless.


■Is there a place where I can see the actual product or try it on?
You can actually touch and feel the products at the pop-up shops that UZ Fabric regularly holds at various venues, including department stores . Even outside of the period, you can try on the products at our atelier in Tokyo, so please feel free to contact us. info@uz-fabric.jp
