The Uzu Fabric H (Remnants) Series is a new series that focuses on scraps that are produced during the production process of dresses and stoles, as well as kimonos that are damaged or dirty and can only be used as scraps.
The scraps collected in Japan are then shipped across the ocean and transformed into colorful art rugs using authentic Moroccan handicraft techniques and unique sensibilities. Everything from the base mat to the fringe is made from scraps of kimono.

The designer's dream of "making a Boshaluit rug from kimono scraps!" was realized, making this an item that is a dream come true in a sense. It took about two years to realize this project, even after overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic, and all the staff were thrilled when the kimono was returned as a rug.
